Railcar and Container Liners

A liner bag turns an open railcar or a sea container into a vessel for shipping bulk cargo. The cargo never touches the metal, does not escape through gaps and leaves no residue requiring cleaning before the next trip — which removes the cost of preparing the wagon for its next load.

The liner is made from laminated polypropylene fabric and cut to a specific type of rolling stock. Filling is done through the top hatches, discharge through spouts at the end wall. This scheme speeds up transfer and noticeably reduces cargo loss compared with shipping in bulk without a liner.

We manufacture liners for open railcars and for 20 ft and 40 ft containers. The laminated fabric withstands −40 to +60 °C, so the liner also works for winter shipments across Kazakhstan and Russia. Filling and discharge arrangements are matched to your equipment.

FAQ

Why use a liner instead of shipping in bulk?

A liner eliminates contact between cargo and metal, loss through gaps, and contamination by residue from the previous trip. After discharge the wagon needs no cleaning — saving time and money on preparing rolling stock.

Is the liner suitable for winter shipments?

Yes. The laminated fabric is rated for −40 to +60 °C, which covers winter conditions in Kazakhstan and Russia.

Can a liner be reused?

No, liners are single-use. The fabric is damaged during discharge and reuse would not guarantee tightness.
