Big Bags with Liner

The polypropylene fabric of a big bag breathes: it lets moisture through and does not retain fine fractions. For cargo that is moisture-sensitive or prone to sifting through the weave, a liner is fitted inside the bag — a polyethylene sleeve that follows the container's geometry.

A liner solves three problems: it protects cargo from moisture during storage and transport, prevents loss of fine fractions through the fabric, and keeps the product clean by eliminating contact with polypropylene. For food-grade raw materials and chemical reagents this is a mandatory requirement.

We fit two types of liner. A stitched-in liner is fixed at the neck and does not shift during filling — convenient on automated lines. A loose liner is inserted inside and suits manual filling where easy replacement matters. Film thickness and fixing method are matched to the cargo and equipment.

FAQ

Why choose a stitched-in liner over a loose one?

A stitched-in liner is fixed at the neck and does not shift during filling — important on automated lines where the bag is filled under pressure. A loose liner is simpler, cheaper and easy to replace, suiting manual and semi-automatic filling.

Does a liner give full moisture protection?

A liner substantially reduces moisture ingress, but tightness depends on how the neck is closed and on storage conditions. For full moisture protection the top design and sealing method need to be agreed.

Can a big bag with a liner be reused?

The liner is single-cycle and is replaced after discharge. The bag itself may be reused if undamaged and if the safety factor is confirmed — the decision is made after inspection.
