Bitumen materials vary significantly in form and packing temperature, so there is no universal design. An FIBC is used only for solid, granulated or otherwise packable forms compatible with polypropylene packaging.
Bag design, liner, seams and discharge method are selected from a specification after product temperature, flow and storage data are received.
Hot or molten bitumen must not be packed in a standard polypropylene FIBC. Suitability is confirmed before a prototype is made.
